NYC

I have been on pinterest again, getting a bit nostalgic about my trip to New York City, almost four years ago, I can’t believe it has been that long! It definitely plays a part in what I am making even today though. I think some time with the sketchbook is needed this afternoon.

The few pieces I have made inspired by New York City recently are based around the heavy influence of graffiti in the city..

A colour combination that keeps popping up in my mind to try! I need to do it tomorrow, just figuring out which shades to do it in.

Abandoned Detail

These photographs are by a very talented photographer, Evan Leavitt. He is based in Georgia, USA. I love the colours he captures in some of his pictures, his compositions make me think of Edward Hopper. You can see more of his work by clicking on any of the images.
